There's nothing like enjoying a great meal. It has the power to unite and bring us together. Since COVID-19, that simple act has become more challenging than ever and devastated the restaurant industry in the process. That's why we created the national campaign,
SERVE. TASTE. GIVE.
"America's Great Restaurant Rebound"
Starting in June thru October 31st, take the SPEND $60 Pledge! Help support your favorite restaurants or try new ones by pledging to spend a total of $60 or more between the months of June thru October. It's our way of trying to help the restaurant industry especially all of the independent restaurant owners that have been struggling since the global pandemic forced businesses to shutdown across the country. Many Black owned restaurants have been especially hard hit with the added factor of civil unrest and the destructive actions of rioters across the United States.
Economists estimate that it will take years for the restaurant industry to recover, but, if just 10 Million Americans took the SPEND $60 Pledge and acted, it could mean $600 Million dollars pumped into the US economy to help support the restaurant industry and its employees! And, we think that's a pretty good start! Here are several simple ways you can help us reach our goal.
As cities and states begin to open back up and ease restrictions on restaurants to offer dine-in service, we ask that you please follow any guidelines set forth in your community as well as your own level of comfort when choosing dine-in as an option. Many of our friends in the restaurant industry are taking precautions and implementing new procedures and safety protocols to make your dine-in experience as safe as possible. As fellow foodies, we welcome the opportunity to enjoy the fully intended experience of a great dine-in meal in a safe environment. This especially rings true as summer patio dining season gets underway. And, if you feel safe, we encourage you to do the same and SPEND $60 or more between June and October to support the restaurant industry during its long road to recovery.
For those consumers that are still not comfortable with dine-in as an option, please continue to show your support and take the pledge to SPEND $60 by choosing takeout or curbside pickup as an option from June thru October.
For those consumers that are still not comfortable with dine-in or takeout as an option, please continue to show your support and take the pledge to SPEND $60 by choosing delivery as an option from June thru October. And, don't forget, many restaurants now offer contact-less delivery!
Then, on the last weekend of October, and, after you've spent $60 or more, Daylight Saving Time will end. On Sunday November 1st, most Americans will gain an extra hour. We ask that you please take the SERVE 60 Pledge and giveback that extra hour to your local communities by once again choosing dine-in, takeout/curbside pickup or delivery from your favorite restaurants between November 1st thru 8th! You can help us create a "national restaurant week" built on a foundation of giving back to the restaurant community! Your actions will help the restaurant industry on their long road to recovery from the effects of COVID-19 and, together, we can jump start "America's Great Restaurant Rebound"!
No matter which option you choose, look for SERVE 60 on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter then tag us! Take a photo of your dine-in, takeout or delivery experience or your meal receipts then post them on social media and use any of the following hashtags: #SERVETASTEGIVE #SPEND60 #SERVE60 #AmericasGreatRestaurantRebound
